When is it okay to lie?

Is it okay to lie to that person? No, it is not. We as human beings should not be lying to others at all. The "painful" truth should come up. It is more hurtful to lie to someone then after they find out this could hurt then more. I think it is not good to lie to someone at all. If you want to preserve a relationship tell the truth. It is more beneficial for not only yourself but the other person to tell the truth. We must stop lying and start to be more truthful in our relationships in order to stop the hurtful life we could live if we keep lying and lying to others.

Why can we not tell the truth in our relationships?

It is a distinct trait in all humans that we lie. Why? We lie simply because we want to protect ourselves and others from "painful" truth. Yet my question remains why can we not tell the truth in our relationships? Yes this is something we as humans can not grasp on we he must lie in order to protect our relationships. I do believe yes it is hard to tell the "painful" truth, but when looking at it in the long run this way is better. Not only have I told the person the truth, but also persevered our relationship in the long run because I was truthful from the start. So why can't we as human beings start telling the "painful" truth to others? Why do we always have to lie in our relationships?  I see this as a way to save our own butts in a relationship in a way to were we can deceive someone so badly that they do not even know what is going on. I believe it is time to end the lying in all types of relationships and start telling the "painful" truth. We as humans must understand that lying and deceiving someone is not the best way all the time to get out of a bad situation. The only way we can stop this is to start telling the "painful" truth.
