Ever catch a lie in your favorite childhood movies?
Remember the Loin King. Yeah me too. I was just a kid so I never knew pretty much the whole movie was pretty much build on a lie. Scar, Samba's uncle had killed Mufasa, Simbas father, the king of pride rock. Scar made it look like a accident, but we all know he murdered him. Simba doesn't know his father was killed by Scar. Simba thinks it was all his fault and Scar proceeds to lie to Simba. So we see something on the screen does it make it okay to lie? Could this be where we have learned that it is okay to lie? Like wise was it okay for Jay Gatsby to lie about himself though out the novel? He lied to everyone about just how he had gained his his wealth. So is it okay to lie? When will it ever be okay to lie?

Do you ever tell lies about yourself?
I am sure we all have told lies about ourselves. I know I have. I haven't lied a lot it was only by a little bit. This was probably a one of the worse mistakes of my life. When i was about 12 or 13 I went on to a chat line that was mainly for adult and no it was not a sexual chat line it was just a normal online chat. I met several different people and falsified my life to them. They even ended up believing me, but after awhile I spilled the beans and spoke the truth. In those few minutes of lying I knew it wasn't good, but in away we all lie about ourselves in a way. We all try to make ourselves more attractive or in a way look better to the other person. So admit it you have lied to yourself and other people, stop covering that fact up.

I have lied before. So what? We are human.
I have lied in my life. I have lied to teachers, my family, my friends. Mainly its the whole I am fine situation, because I do not want to bug them with my petty problems. I lie to them so what? They still love me and care for me. Do I feel guilty for lying? Oh yeah some what, but still its that feeling oh i cant bug you with my own problems. You have enough to deal with. So if you have lied to someone do not feel to bad because I am pretty sure they have lied to you before. You can feel guilty all you want, but remember we are humans we make errors the best thing we can do is learn from those errors.

Would you lie for love?
Would you lie to your SO? Even if it means that you may lost the relationship if he or she found out the truth? Why not, huh? Even though it may look bad, why not just tell the truth. It seems like most relationships today are built upon lies. for example in, The Future of Lying by Jeff Hancock, did a study abut online dating. Hancock pulled up a result to were people only lie a little bit about their looks. So how can be a start to a healthy relationship when you can not even be honest with your looks? If something is not done to stop this we can still continue to see a growing number of relationships built on lies.

Online dating the birthplace for lying.
Thinking of online dating an example that came to me was from the Ted Talk, The Future of Lying by Jeff Hancock, where he had brought up a research he did on online dating whether or not see how much people lie. If you have ever checked out or have been a member of a dating website or well listen to a person rant, then you would hear all sorts of stories about how that person really lied about their looks and how they should be more honest.Yet what want I to know is, who lies more though men or woman, or is it about the same? This growing trend of online dating seems to be now the "best" way to meet the one. So what you are saying is basically you fell in love with the idea of that person, since you do not know what they are like psychically you can really only go by description of "exactly" what that person wants you to believe on what you look like. I think that we need to have a way to check too see if this person is actually being truthful about their looks or not.

False advertisement. There is nothing free. You are being lied to.
We all see some sort of advertisement everyday. These advertisements are either on T.V, magazines , etc.... You see something you want to buy and when you do they usually have a special offer with it. You think, "hey I get something free now." Well sorry to break it to you. It is not free. You are being lied to. If you read the fine print you will clearly see you have to pay some short of fee or tax on your already "free" item. No matter what you see as free there will always be some sort of fee or tax on that item there fore making it no longer free. Now when you see a buy one get one free advertisement remember you are being lied to, so stop believing that one item you get is free in reality you should know that it is not free.

I am fine (insert fake smile)
"I am fine" is usually the most common yet mysterious lie we tell. We are never fine we are simply covering up what we are feeling in order for that other person to get the news that ;"okay are you really okay or what is going on?" We say this because we hid the truth behind our fake smile in order to persevere our own status in life. Why is that we do this though? We are we covering things up so much? Why do we say "I am fine" when really we are not fine at all? There is something about this lie that remains to be a mystery in human nature that we have not yet discovered what it was, and yet we use it on a daily basis.
